Greetings Classmates and Friends,

The Golden Anniversary of St Augustine High School class of 1963 is upon us. How can that be? Well it is and The SAHS Reunion Committee is in the process of organizing a fabulous weekend to celebrate this great milestone of the greatest and most unique class in St. Augustine High School history.

Unique? Greatest? Heck yea!

Don�t you remember we were the last freshman class of Ketterlinus High School and the first freshman class of SAHS? That�s because St. Augustine High wasn�t completed until the winter semester of 1960. We started our freshman year at Ketterlinus in 1959 and moved over to SAHS after the Christmas break in 1960. And we were the first 4 year cycle to graduate SAHS in 1963. Probably forgot that part didn�t you?

Anyway the date for our 50th class reunion is October 11 and 12, 2013.

Friday night�s event will be held at the Officers� Club on Marine Street from is 6:30 PM - 11 PM. There will be a wonderful selection of hors d\'oeuvres from Leroy�s and a cash bar. Allen Facemire is going to have a slide presentation with pictures that have been submitted. If you have any pictures you would like to add, Allen�s email address is allenfacemire@gmail.com. Send anything you think your classmates would be interested in. Scan old copies of the Jacket Journal or other high school memorabilia. No baby or elementary school pictures please.



The Saturday night event will be held at the Cafà © Alcazar in the Lightner Museum Building, which used to be the swimming pool during the �20�s. Times for this event will be 6:30 PM � 11:00 PM. A buffet featuring chicken Marsala, flank steak and Mahi Mahi will be offered along with vegetables and starches and a couple of dessert choices. Tea and coffee will be available as well as a cash bar for beer and wine. Music for dancing will be offered as well.

If you are a member of SAHS Class of �63 or know somebody who was like your parents, grand parents or aunts and unclesâ� ¦please remind them this is a once in a life time eventâ� ¦the chance to renew friendships, swap lies and relive moments from the best years of our lives.

We need a head count though. The more the merrier but the more who show up, the cheaper the cost for each participant. If we have 80 folks sign up then the approximate cost for the Friday night fete should be $25 a head, with the second night coming in around $50 a person.

Many of you may have already received a letter along with a stamped addressed envelope announcing reunion plans. If you�ve received it and plan to attend, please fill it out and send it back ASAP.

For those who have missed past reunions, this is perhaps your last chance to see faces you haven�t seen in 50 years. Those of you have attended past reunions know how much fun it will be so talk it up and lets make this a bash to remember.

One last thing. These 14 classmates are MIA or their addresses have changed since we�ve last contacted them. If anyone can offer clues as to their whereabouts, addresses, phone numbers, emailâ� ¦. please impart that info to any member of the committee.
