It is the big one, the 50th reunion coming up.


...On a Friday October 14, 2011, we are planning on opening the 1961 time capsule located in the main hallway at the Antioch High School on 18th street in Antioch at 3:00 pm.

The district personnel will break open the capsule. The condition of the contents is unknown. It has been 50 years buried in the ground. I do remember various articles of clothing, rings, etc. were placed in it.

You are invited to watch the opening of the capsule. We will also display the contents at the reunion.

The district is going to charge us $350.00 to open the capsule. It is not cheap but it was meant to be opened in the future and this is the best time to do it while there are still alumni to enjoy it.

We are asking for donations towards the fee of opening the time capsule. There are some of us that could afford to pay the entire amount but that would not be fair. We have received a couple of donations for the capsule opening but need more. Any extra collected will go towards expenses for mailing the invitations,gifts, etc. for the 50th reunion.

The reunion will be held Friday night, 6:00 pm at the Trilogy County Club, 1700 Trilogy Parkway in Brentwood.

The cost is $50.00 per person and a donation of $10.00+ for the opening of the time capsule.
