Fort Zumwalt North 20th Class Reunion Agenda

June 30th is the deadline for purchasing tickets to the reunion. Earlier than this would be MUCH appreciated. I know this seems early but I need to cover expenses including deposits and would like to have Ameristar's bill paid so that I can make decisions considering other expenses. Tickets are 50.00 per person and we are accepting donations on top of that amount to help cover any additional expenses that should come up. I came up short on our ten year reunion and covered the expenses myself so I would like to avoid that this time. I am doing my best to get the very best value for our money while providing a first class evening to celebrate this anniversary but as we all know... everything done well requires money. I have several things that I think would add to the evening but I have them set aside until I know that we will have funds to cover.

5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the HOME Lounge at Ameristar Casino.
This summer I will be requesting names of all those in your group, bracelets will be issued at the door from Ameristar Staff. This is a private event for our group only so I will not only need an accurate headcount for staffing purposes but to also eliminate problems when you are trying to get in. We are encouraging everyone to bring friends from other FZN Classes to create a "Zumwalt" environment of Friends. This is not an open invitation for other classes but simply an opportunity for you to bring YOUR friends that happen to have graduated in other classes. All guests must be associated with a FZN 89 Graduate. All guest are responsible for their own food / drinks.

Buffet Style Dinner (Menu TBD)
I can assure everyone that this isn't going to be typical banquet food. The same chefs that oversee operations in Ameristar's 4-Star Steakhouse Restaurant oversee the kitchen in the conference center. They are also providing us one server per 4 tables plus buffet runners so there will definitely be a presence in the room so I am confident that we will receive not only great service but also great food.

A nice combination of DJ and live performance will be provided.

A photographer will be on hand to take photos individually and candid shots to be included in a memory book that can be purchased for those interested, individual portraits will also be available for purchase. Even if you do not plan on purchasing either item we would appreciate everyone stopping by to have their pictures taken to be included in the books. We will also have someone video taping the evening.

We will have door prizes that will include awards (survey to be distributed this summer) and attendance prizes.

Enjoy the evening visiting with your old classmates. Catch up on what they have been doing, their careers, what they do for fun, their travels, their kids, and for some of us... their grand kids! Don't forget to bring your camera so you can remember this evening for a long time to come.

Join us to show off the kids and to gather for one last celebration this weekend! Everyone is asked to bring food / drink for their own family. Games will be provided for the children.


TICKET INFORMATION:

We will be distributing tickets via e-ticket. As the event gets closer I will be sending them out to all attendees (hopefully this will eliminate them getting lost). When you arrive at the reunion you will exchange your e-ticket for your drink tickets. Please make sure your email is current on the classreport website so that I can send this to you. When you receive them I will ask that everyone respond with a quick email stating that they received it and what their spouse / guest name is so that we may provide them a nametag for the event. We are desperately trying to avoid postage expenses.


HOTEL INFORMATION:
I am working to block rooms at an area hotel. This is somewhat complicated because both Ameristar and Embassy Suites have attrition charges should we not meet our minimum. Even though both of these hotels would be the most convenient I want to avoid that type of scenario. I am much more comfortable with and arrangement that would allow me to reduce our room block by a certain date or one that will simply drop rooms that are not reserved by a certain date. I have received 10 proposals this week from various hotels so I will share that information as soon as I make a decision. I realize that we have several people coming in from out of town so I promise to not take longer than necessary.
